I am only borrowing you from your destiny For a short while along your way Perhaps you may wish to tarry For a while this summers day For we are but fleeting images Upon the face of earth We are here then gone forever Then a new life gives birth I am only borrowing you from your destiny Your time will be elsewhere Your life, your love, your happiness For a moment I did share You knew it touched my heart But like a bird you are free The open sky is calling I was only borrowing you from your destiny
